1John 2:28, "And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming."Bible tells us that Jesus is going to come back again and those who are prepared will go with Him and live with Him forever. But those who are not prepared, those who are not washed by the precious blood of Jesus, those who are not living a clean life will all be left behind. There is a TV program called The way of the Master. They interviewed people in the streets asking them whether they have the assurance of going to heaven or not? The general response of people was, "yes, they think that they will go to heaven because they are good", though they often spoke lies, though at some point they stole things and look at others with lustful eyes. It is a tragedy that many think and believe that somehow they will enter into heaven no matter how they lived and what they did. But the reality is different. Bible again and again tells and warns saying that unless the sins of the persons are forgiven and unless they live a clean life, they cannot enter into heaven. Once Jesus said in Mar 10:25-31, "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." Even His disciples were astonished hearing that as we read in Mar 10:26-31, "And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves, "Who then can be saved?" But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible." Then Peter began to say to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You." So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time--houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions--and in the age to come, eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first."Last week, Chicago's Olympic bid for 2016 fell through. It was shocking and sad news for not only Chicago but also for USA. Many gathered to celebrate victory but they had to turn away in complete disbelief and shock when the voting results were announced. They "thought" that victory was theirs but the outcome was quite different and shocking. My friend, one day we all have to stand before God. I want you to visualize in your mind and see, "Are you ready to face that day"? Are you entirely sure that your name will be in the lamb's book of life? When roll call takes place, will your name be there or whether you may have to be ashamed on that day? If your sins are not forgiven, if your name is not in the book of life, even now you can come to Jesus. There is still time to come to Jesus as long as you have breath in you. You can receive forgiveness of your sins by the shed blood of Jesus. Please pray with me: Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, please forgive and forget all my sins. Wash me with your precious blood and write my name in the lamb's book of life. Today I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for washing me with your precious blood and thank you for giving me new life and everlasting life. In the mighty and unfailing name of Jesus I ask this prayer, Amen.
There was a woman named Sarah. She was the wife of Abraham and Bible talks about her that she was a barren woman. Many years had passed after her marriage and she had no kids. She and her husband were heartbroken. As they progressed in age, they lost all their hopes. All their hopes and dreams of having a child had faded away. Abraham and Sarah's disappointment and hopeless situation could be seen in Gen 17:17-18, "Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, "Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?" And Abraham said to God, "Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!"Again when God spoke to Abraham and said that Sarah and he will have a child, Sarah laughed because she had passed the age of childbearing as we read in Gen 18:9-11, "Then they said to him, "Where is Sarah your wife?" So he said, "Here, in the tent." And He said, "I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son." (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.) Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing."Yes, they were having completely impossible situation. Naturally, it was not possible and even today with all the advanced science it is impossible. But there is nothing impossible with God. For those who walk in His ways, all things are possible with the favor of God. Though Sarah and Abraham lost all their hopes, though they were in an impossible situation, yet God performed a mighty miracle in their lives. He turned their impossibility into possibility by giving them a son. All their dead dream and dead hopes came alive again.My friend, are you in a hopeless situation today? Have you given up your dreams and hopes? Do you have a report from doctor that everything is over for you or for your loved ones? Look to Jesus, He is a God who turns impossibility into possibility. He never fails in His promises. What He has spoken He will do it. We read in Rom 4:18-19, "who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be." And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb."And in Hebrew 11:11, "By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised."Just trust Him, just believe in His promises and receive what God has promised to you. His hands are not shortened that it cannot deliver you. He is ready to deliver you if you just look to Him.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 14th Feb. 2012
